So I caught a little bit of the season but I have to say I’m pretty impressed with tonight’s finale. As the finale got under way Wednesday, host Ryan Seacrest said more than 100 million votes were cast after Tuesday’s singing showdown between Lambert and Allen. A record-setting 624 million votes were cast over the season. (1)

TMZ is reporting that Simon Cowll’s EX Terri Seymour was attacked last night after the American Idol finale.

It happened at L.A. Live — a complex that includes the Nokia Theatre where “A.I.” was taped. A 33-year-old woman walked up to Terri, asked if she was Simon’s girlfriend. The suspect allegedly attacked her and attempted to choke her.

The whole thing is funny but sad, kind of like a clown dying. I’d be afraid of a 200lb female pyscho too. Actually, I AM afraid of most 200lb females period.  Get well soon Terri. Hopefully you’ll turn that frown upside down and use the publicity to further your career – whatever that is.
